As a groomer most often we are the first to notice a skin issue. This webinar will give you a basic understanding on how to select the right product to use on that day. Understand how topical products work and how and when they should be used. Specific disorders covered include: topical therapy for bacterial, yeast and viral infections with specific focus on bacterial resistance; seborrhea (dry and greasy); allergic skin disease and immune mediated diseases.
About the Presenter
Dr Beth McDonald graduated from Sydney University with honours in 1988. She worked for six years at North Shore Veterinary Hospital. Dr McDonald completed a Masters in Veterinary studies (Murdoch University) and gained membership in Small Animal Medicine with the ANZCVSc.
In 1995, she began her residency in dermatology at the Louisiana State University and in 1998 became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Dermatologists. She returned to Sydney and has practiced as a registered specialist. Last year, she joined the Animal Dermatology Group based in the USA and runs a full time dermatology service at Sydney University.
